Who We ARE.
Connecting Generations is a charitable incorporated organisation. Our basic vision is to create bonds between the volunteer student population and the elderly in order for both to gain from the interaction, the face to face social contact, and the assistance that the volunteers can give in using modern technology to overcome constraints of time, distance and technical competence.
What we do.
We mobilise bodies of University students to care homes, residential homes, hospitals and local community centres to assist the elderly in the use of modern technologies such as iPads and Amazon Echos.
Our free-of-charge service aims to connect elderly people, who may be lonely, to their families, friends, or other individuals who may be experiencing the same difficulties. The contact with our young volunteers also increases the happiness not only for the elderly, but our students too!
